Dr. Anis Dizdarevic obtained his MD degree from Harvard Medical School. He completed residency in anesthesiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital and subspecialty fellowship in interventional pain management at Brigham and Women's, Beth Israel Deaconess and Boston Children's Hospitals.
Dr.Dizdarevic is an associate professor of anesthesiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and Director of Regional and Orthopedic Anesthesia. He is actively involved in patient care, research and education activities, medical student, resident and fellow teaching and training. He is a member of anesthesiology quality assurance, clinical competency, pain management and educational committees at Columbia University Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.
Dr. Dizdarevic's special interests include acute and chronic pain after surgery, multimodal anesthesia and analgesia, minimally invasive anesthesia, enhanced recovery after surgery, ultrasound and fluoroscopy guided interventions for acute pain management and regional anesthesia, central sensitization pain, functional recovery in painful conditions, evidence based practice and education.
Dr. Anis Dizdarevic has presented research, clinical and educational projects and lectured at numerous regional, national and international meetings and conferences in anesthesiology and pain medicine, including American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, International Anesthesia Research Society, International Association for the Study of Pain, American Academy of Pain Medicine, NY State Society of Anesthesiologist.
Dr. Anis Dizdarevic has also been selected as a prestigious Castle Connolly America's Top Doctor in the speciality of Pain Medicine.
